With Kay visiting family, it was just Kitty and me this weekend. The only problem was the cat from hell also showed up Friday night. We stayed up till midnight watching a movie. At 3:30 in the morning he decided it was time to get up and play. He ran around the boat, running across the bed. I put him in kitty jail, his carrier. This was up on the fwd state room. About 15 minutes later I hear a big thud. He had rolled his jail off the bed! AGGGGGGGG By 7 AM I had it with this cat! Tis was a bad habit that would not work on the boat and was mad enough that I was headed to the Humane society with the cat. Kay talked me out of it and the cat was put on parole and I took him back to the house. Kay has until we move on the boat to break this habit, if not he goes to death row.... I got a good night rest Saturday.
I went to work on the leak. Took the head off, pulled the floor and cabinet panels to get to the shut off valve. I found a splice in the line that was slowly leaking and it worked its way into the wall and then under the carpet. What a mess.
I bought new parts and put it all back together. Found out it is easier to break the toilet down and install it that way. The toilets are vacu
-flush. There is a pump that builds up a vacuum in the lines and this pulls the waste down the line while using less water. The water for the system comes from my fresh water tank, so saving water is a plus.
Once back together, the system was not holding a vacuum like it should. Great! Now I get to break down the poopy section, oh my favorite part...... I worked on the system and replaced some parts (duck bills) and this didn't fix it. So now I have to order a special gage to find the leak.
You would think this was it, well it was not.... I started to clean the fwd head and as stepped on the floor, water oozed up under the tile. I took the shelves apart and found that a water valve was leaking. It seemed while I was in there replacing the faucet, I had somehow hit the valve and broke the seal. Not a good weekend.
By the time I went home today, I had all the leaks fixed, everything back together. Still have to find my vacuum leak, but that is another day. As I left the boat, it was 50f and the fog was rolling up Fisher Slough.
Sorry the pics are not in order.
