The Best Week so far

This has been a busy, yet a beautiful week.  This weekend showed us how great the lower Columbia River can be.  It all wrapped up in 2 evenings of awesome sunsets.  Most likely the best we have ever seen.
I finished installing the battery isolator, so now my house batteries will charge while running the engine.  This is probably the most important piece of equipment I have installed.  Otherwise I would have to run the generator to charge the house batteries. Now on to the Washer/Dryer
We also took the weekend to do our annual clean up and repair of the riverboat.  We splashed her yesterday and spent the afternoon on the beach.  The last few weeks the weather has been great. Low 60’s sunny and warm.  I also killed my first snake!  A snake on our dock!
It seems April 2016 is coming way to fast.  Enjoy the pictures as I think they are the best Kay has ever taken.  Hope you'll aren't getting tired of sunset pictures.....

The river gods gives us some good things on occasions

Sunset on the 14

Boat heading in before it gets dark

The clouds were 1/2 the sunset

Fire pit going and watching the sunset.  This is my favorite place to be.

Sunset with clouds, big blue sky and reflections on the water

This was the sunset last night

Sky on fire!

Fire in the sky, but look how it reflects on the water!  Kay and I got really excited.

Valentine Dinner: BBQ ribeye, taters, baked asparagus and rolls

Every time you looked up it changed

Reflection off the water and the window on the boat

St. Helens in the background.

This is the road leading to our place

On winter solstice, the sun sets to the left of the trees.  Now it is moving north.  By March 21st it will set due west right in the middle of the water.

Enjoying the afternoon on the Columbia with the riverboat.

Enjoying the afternoon with our friends Kathy, Ron and cruiser
