Closing Days Summer 2014

Well it’s been awhile since I have updated the blog.  We are winding down summer and it won’t be long before the rains start.  In fact the first storm hit us this week.  Kay and I have been busy preparing for winter and doing some salmon fishing.  We have caught a few and put the riverboat to work this fall.  We still are having issues with folks not obeying the no wake zone and during fishing season it get pretty bad.  The next big cruise will be returning to the Halloween cruise at Sand Island in the middle of October.  My son Jeff and his brother-in-law will be coming down in a few weeks for our annual father-son Seahawk football game, so that will be fun.  Kay and I have really fallen in love with living on the boat and it is just a really relaxing way of life.  68 Mondays to go until I retire. This weekend looks to be the last of the warm 80s.  A 5 day rain storm is heading our way later next week.  Lots of moon and sun rises and sunsets on this post.  We live in the best place on this tiny world.......

Our new canvas was finished.  This is a "glass" panel that I will be able to mount a wiper

Fishing boats going up and down the slough.  Trying to get them to slow down

From time to time, Ron and I would meet a boat that would not slow down and we explain it to them.

My new signs.  I have two on the dock and two on the other side of the slough.  This seems to slow them down

Sir Poops a lot.  Man he makes a mess on the dock.

Docked up at our favorite place Walker Island dock.
